Larry and Caryl Abdo (Dec. 7th)

Larry and Caryl Abdo are an entrepreneurial team that has founded and operated a broad range of at least thirty-nine different restaurant, hospitality, real estate development and marketing companies. Lifelong entrepreneurs, they own and have redeveloped the Nicollet Island Inn, Six Quebec condominiums and numerous other real estate projects. They have a broad range of development efforts underway including working with their sons to develop the MyBurger restaurant franchise. Their Gopher State Ice Co. has supplied the state fair with ice for 35+ years and their recent successful promotion of a “big fat bacon ” received broad press coverage. Caryl was one of two female students in the 1969 graduating class from the Carlson School that included her husband Larry.   The Abdo’s host the “Abdo Dinner Conversation Series” for Carlson School students and their spouses.
